To build a fair education for all, we need to unlock the potential in all children – not just some. Together, we’re making it happen. Every day, our work takes us closer to a better future. But we need to do more. It’s a big challenge – and we need your help to take it on.

In this role, you’ll report to our permanent Email Marketer, who is the lead for email content and strategy across the organisation. While the Email Marketer works on our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database transformation, you’ll support them to manage our day-to-day e-communications and usage of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SMC). You’ll help ensure the most effective use of content, analytics and platform functionality for email marketing campaigns. You’ll work closely with our Marketing team to plan, create and send mass emails to our main audiences while adhering to our brand guidelines and strategy.
  • Do you have experience working with email marketing platforms to plan, deliver and track campaigns?
  • Do you have experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud?
  • Do you have experience creating and sending branded email marketing content?
  • Do you understand the main email analytics metrics and the ability to use reporting to recommend best practices to colleagues?
  • Can you thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and work flexibly?
  • Do you have eye for detail to make sure all email marketing campaigns are consistent with our brand?
  • Do you have excellent verbal and written communications skills to work efficiently with different teams across the charity?
  • Do you have experience strong problem-solving and training skills, to ensure email marketing platform users are supported when issues arise in their day-to-day use of our email marketing platform?
Yes to the above? Then we want to hear from you. You might be our next Email Marketer.

Please be aware that ‘Total Pay’ for this role includes a Recruitment Premium of £4,254.74 per annum. This brings total pay to £35,764.99. A Recruitment Premium is paid when market pressures prevent us from being able to recruit for a job at the normal salary for a role of that level. As Recruitment Premium payments are not part of an employee’s basic (or normal) pay they are independent from the Annual Salary Review and will not reviewed or uplifted during that process. If there are changes to the labour market conditions or an employee moves role, the premium will be reviewed and may be withdrawn.

Take a look at the job description and then complete an application on our careers website. Make sure you’ve got your CV and cover letter showing how you meet our essentials ready to upload.

All roles require that the successful applicant and Teach First make a joint application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a background check. Whilst the majority of roles require a Basic DBS check, we conduct a greater level of checks on employees who work directly with schools and young people. Candidates will be able to see the level of check required for each role on the job advert.

Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude you from appointment. There are many offences which may not disqualify an applicant, for example, those which are less serious, were committed some time ago, were committed as a juvenile under extenuating circumstances and where there have been no further offences. If you would like to discuss whether a conviction you have would be likely to exclude you from being considered for the post for which you are applying, please contact our People Business Partnering team (PeopleAdvisors@teachfirst.org.uk) who can provide confidential advice. A copy of our policy statement on the recruitment of ex-offenders is available on request.

Successful candidates will be contacted to complete an online DBS check, relevant to the post applied for, at the point of offer.
